The design for redevelopment of Taksim Square and Gezi Park is the result of a public competition with an initial 146 entries, narrowed down to 20 colleagues after 3 months design work. We were thrilled to hear that we were on the list of 20 finalists to resubmit our detailed design concept in the autumn of 2021.
The judging panel selected 3 prize contenders to be presented to the public for a final voting by public ballot. The result of this ballot was publized on the 14th November with our design taking the public vote.

The design concept was developed in collaboration with Taksim Kolektifi. We are now preparing for discussions with the Istanbul council regarding the implementation.
