The private residence, located on a small hill overviewing the fields and a forest was completely refurbished and a sound studio added. Upon completion the clients saw the necessity to improve the overall access and use of the garden. The original access was an uninteruptred flight of more than 60 steps and no useable garden space.
Our solution was to widen the stairs, offset the axis and introduce landings with varying sizes. Offset walls in varying heights alloed two lawn areas and a jacuzzi to be added. The walls also allowed to increase the size and forms of the terraces at the ground floor level. This greatly improved the access to the views and to appreciate the different seasonal aspects.
